Akram Sheikh nominated as Govt lawyer in Musharraf Trial case

The federal government nominated Akram Sheikh as its lawyer in the ex-president Pervez Musharraf treason case on Friday, Web reported. 

Akram Sheikh is considered to be a lawyer of great figure and had previously served as legal counsel for Mansoor Ijaz, who was involved in the memogate scandal.

Earlier, the SC Pakistan had finalised the names of three judges for the ‘special court’ which the government requested for a trial against Musharraf.

Sindh High Court’s Justice Faisal Arab is to head the bench while Justice Tahira Safdar of the Balochistan High Court and Justice Yawar Ali of the Lahore High Court are the other two judges on the bench.
